CREEKSIDE is an easy stroll
away from one of the first miniature golf courses in Northern California
(an historic novelty that's still fun to play, Guerneville's free public
tennis courts, and its narrow bridge (listed on the National Registry
of Historic Places).

Just across that bridge is the town's Main Street with antique and gift shops, cafes and restaurants, the town's primary beach (site of the Russian River Blues Festival in June, the Russian River Jazz Festival in September, and the Vineman Triathlon in between), and other recreational assets (including bicycle and canoe rental sites).
Less than five minutes away by bike or car, at Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve, you'll also find a glorious and extensive stand of old-growth redwoods with picnic, hiking, and horseback riding opportunities and an informative interpretation center maintained by the Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods.

Creekside's site in The Heart of Sonoma County's Great Northwest also gives guests options for delightful and relaxing excursions on wheels in all directions. To the northeast and east, internationally famous wineries are counterpointed by tiny boutique operations (many worthy of and waiting for that fame and fortune), each offering complimentary tastings of wonderful (and often world-class) wines. Southeast and south are human-scale working orchards, farms, and road-side stands that welcome the public (especially families) to browse and buy; Southwest, west and northwest are the rolling hills, sea ridges and ranches, stunning vistas and long stretches of public beach that draw visitors and locals alike to the Sonoma Coast.
As if that's not enough, the roads that wind and wander through the vineyards, forests, and farms around us lead to shops and galleries purveying fine arts and antiques, crafts and collectibles, fashions and frivolity enough to appeal to any visitor. Not to mention superb dining, ocean and freshwater fishing, and unique opportunities to explore the history of Russia in America. There are, of course, attractions on the premises. They include a billiard table (in the pool area- where else?), picnic tables, pinball games, BBQ facilities for the cottages, lending library, and, of course, the spacious sundeck adjoining the patio which surrounds the pool... where nobody will expect you to do anything at all...
